Sorry for taking so long to reply. I've actually tried to a few times but I never like what I say.
I try to have as little planning, as little practice, and as little direction as possible when I start out a piece. I just do my scribbles and start adding detail. I had been challenged to try to put "real" stuff in my work so this is one of those attempts from my earlier days.

Oh, so you go more abstract but are trying to put some real-life elements into it? Maybe studying some sphere reflections you can find a way to fit them. xD

I've been doing some studies recently. Mostly just watching youtube trying to pick up styles. I haven't tried the sphere reflections though...I might have to check that out. Want to get away from the "flatness" of many of my pictures

I love your compositions, because I have to stare at the picture at first, for all of the details, and then just as I think I'm done observing it all, there's a big shape in blank space at the bottom, so I have to look at it all over again and see the big picture!
This one has to be one of my favorites in your gallery, probably because I felt smart when I noticed that was a nostril, heheh. I could definitely see this one with a bunch of psychedelic colors.

I've only met one person who could tell me everything in it and explain what was going on. It feels so bad ass to have someone see exactly what I see in it knowing how it started.
This particular one I got someone else to draw 5 random lines and I worked from those...I actually had come to a road block and couldn't think of anything so I drew Video killing the Radio Star, a picture I like drawing, and it just so happened to turn in to this
