Two weekends ago, I needed to get away from everyone for some time to just breathe. My go-to is driving the entire Mountain Loop Highway, starting on the Granite Falls side and coming back through Darrington and Oso.


That peaceful solo drive on a rainy Sunday brought me to this spot for some quiet reflection.

I try. It certainly isn't easy to capture sometimes, but I always feel how beautiful it is in real life. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the rains and cool weather again.Β
