We headed up to the Mount Baker area over the weekend to try and find some fall foliage. What we found instead was rain and unrelenting fog while we waited patiently for Mount Shuksan to show herself. After waiting it out for a while, we decided to head down below the fog and shoot some waterfalls. Shocking, right?
What I love about this shot is that to me, it's true to Washington...all of the moodiness and dampness, but with the lushness of the Evergreen State still prevailing.
I love living here.

Gorgeous capture, LeeAnne! I love the depth, it's accentuated so well by the low vantage point, and the misty background near the falls. Stunning and vibrant colors, and just the right amount of light hitting those greens. Beautiful, beautiful work!

have to thank you for this shot..quick collection was getting overloaded and after seeing this i can safely remove any images i thought i may have got from here! your patience really paid off while i jumped all around the place. just love that water action, depth is fantastic and such a great touch on those greens! wonderfully composed and the best part is your calves didnt almost shatter from the frigid waters like mine almost did
