Thanks. No, not really, I haven't studied art history, so I don't know about turn of the century inking or line art.
I do love MC Escher, but he was much later.

wow. I love it. When i first was looking at it i thought it was a tree stump, but then it looked like ocean waves, i think i saw a city and a couple people in there too. Very cool

thank you for being the one to pop my (deviant) cherry! i like to hear what other people see in my drawings. no two people see exactly the same thing. and people don't see what i see in them, i've spent hours looking at every inch and see every imperfection(to me). you don't know how excited i was to log on and see that i had a hit already!
