Everything is KidMa and everything hurts....

I recently discovered 8tracks, and paleocat's fantabulous playlist that just makes me want to curl up in a ball an die of feels. :') It's perfect... So I figured I had to dedicate something to it. Loved this song so much, and it popped this image into my brain.

In canon, Soul Eater is about as romantic as a pancake. But if you just take the time to slip on your shipping goggles, KidMa becomes the greatest love story never told- especially in this freaking story arc.

Think about it for a minute. Kid is kidnapped and all he has to do all day after they stopped him from reorganizing the book is to try to come to terms with the fact that one of his close friends is at the top of a hit list. And he was in there for three months, knowing that Maka was a prime target. First of all, that induces feels, especially if you are me and you have the stupid idea that Kid has had a very large crush on Maka for a while. It's even feelsier if you also have that stupid headcanon I drew in 'Doujinshi faaaaail'.

And then something else to think about is Maka. One thing I find funny is that she doesn't immediately turn over her copy of the book of Eibon when Kid is kidnapped. She doesn't give that responsibility of getting him back for someone else to take care of. I also like the idea of while Kid is gone, she starts to realize that she didn't value her friendship earlier and she should have, so she has this determination to get him back that's just awesome. (Imma steal some paleocat headcanons now, btws) So she puts on some skull clips to remind herself that they're doing this to save Kid, trains extra hard in the day, and every night she'll go home and not sleep just so she can read and reread the Book of Eibon just trying to connect herself to Kid.

And this is why I die of feels.
