Been a while since I had to ask for a mass amount of numbers, but think I could use it now. ^^ People go to the journal entry for this thing and call some numbers out- eager to see what we get! We've got 85 of these things drawn and can't wait to get to 100.

In the meantime, here's Jason, also from The Wotch. ^^ Doubt this one'll get any comics commissioned for him, but did enjoy doing him and hope you folks like him all the same.

Y'know, I thought going into this that Mrs. Grey had a really terrible design but as I started to draw her... it's the opposite. She came out looking really great. It's kinda like... I dunno, Bourgeois Bohemian or something. I was really impressed with how she came out, especially after 's color job.

Other than that, not much to say. ^^ Take a look at our comics- and .

I figured since I usually have thoughts on these myself - seeing as I came up with a significant portion of the list and have been coloring them all, plus I throw out a lot of ideas for scenarios - that I should start throwing in my own thoughts on these.

Maybe not the best one to start off on, since it's kind of simple and Adam came up with this one, but still probably gives me some decent material to comment on. Jason's kind of an odd duck for us, which maybe makes the appearance of a duck there in the corner pretty appropriate; most characters we tend to latch onto for this kind of thing in the work we do amongst ourselves either have a certain inherent cuteness to them or there's a certain ironic reversal to them - don't really want to give any real examples there offhand since a lot of them are going to pop up as this list goes on. Jason though is just kind of a, "Hey, why not?" sort of character we did one thing with and kind of latched on to. I tend to use him in random stories than Adam does but hey, whatever works. Maybe I can round up and post some of those sometime.

Is it weird that my regret here is probably the color of Jason's socks? Most of the other colors on display here are pretty subdued and toned down, and those things are really bright and gaudy. Totally fits with what his mom's like, but still. As for the cloth diaper thing - that first came up in Candymen for him, and it's just something we've kind of stuck with ever since. Doesn't actually fit the one thing I know of drawn by Anne where we see him as a baby but hey, whatever's cute, right?

Oh, another bit of regret - maybe hasn't had time to fully show itself yet, but I really tend to overuse yellow walls with brown floors. This is a really good bit of design work, I've found, but I overdo it sometimes. Kind of tried to avoid it in the ones I've done lately.
