Huh. Okay, I apparently haven't been keeping up with the navigation on these. Better get to those once this is posted.
But yeah, Starlight Glimmer; late addition to the cast but not a poor one for it. In fact probably the opposite, given she's mostly the thing breathing new life into it at times. Honestly she's pretty fun, with the mixed character traits of being formerly evil (and still getting that evil spark) and also having weird, very specific ideas of human interaction. She's pretty fun. Plus she's friends with Trixie, that's always a plus. Hell, her friendship is the main thing bringing Trixie back for more episodes. ^^ So gets a big mark in my book just for that.

Martin's Comments: I have sort of mixed opinions on Starlight - I really think her face turn was incredibly clumsy and a lot of the early material with her really just came off like they were desperately trying to push her as the new main character. At the same time, a lot of her episodes really are great and she did grow into feeling like a much more natural member of the cast. I like her relationships with a lot of side characters and she's had a ton of great gags so on the whole I'd consider her a definite favorite despite the early issues with the character.
Plus hey, her villain song is probably one of the best ones in the show. That counts for something, right?
