Hey, new season of Ponies has started up. You know what THAT means....
Yeah, we're back to posting pictures, and here's one of Princess Luna. ^^ Who honestly is up there for one of my favorite ponies. Just friggin' love this one. Dig the powers, dig the role she plays, dig the character and backstory... I know I'm not the only one and she's by far the most popular princess, but eh. Awesome, isn't she? ^^
I've been looking for an excuse to draw her for a while, and if anything it's weird she didn't come up until halfway through this little project. Hell, we even did an alternate version of the season-1 "Woona" design...
You'll notice she's got a Gamecube controller too. Yeah, I love the "Gamer Luna" Meme. I don't even know where it came from, just love it.
Martin's Comments: Sorry we're a day late on this one, was kind of a hectic night yesterday getting the next Blues page ready to go and just sort of lost track of the MLP thing. We'll be watching more closely from here on out, don't worry.
So yeah, Luna! I wouldn't say she's my favorite character necessarily but she's definitely high up on the list and certainly my favorite princess. That might be more debatable if Twilight had more of a point these days but we'll get back around to Twilight.
Speaking of, you might notice some changes to the art style here, between the different style of drawing the eyes and the thinner lines. This is kind of a rushed example of those since we redrew it pretty last minute, but we've been working on a bunch of shakeups to the art lately that really have just barely started to make their way to Patreon. We'll be redrawing the rest of the pictures thus far for later when we post the group shot - at least gives that a further appeal I suppose.
Yeah, all I've really got. I should watch more of the show - since the season ended I watched a little bit of what I had skipped in season 8 and a couple episodes of season 9, but not a gigantic amount of either. Though I did jump ahead and watch that Starlight looking for an assistant one.
