Description I love controversy. (please remember- I do not HATE america.)

PLEASE! I may not be a fan of my country, but I do not want anti american debates in the comments thanks!

my reasons why is just I find this place hypocritical.

1.
We can not cruely punish or torture people for information- so a few years back we decided to FLY THEM OUT OF THE COUNTRY so it won't be against the law to beat the crap out of people and torture them for information. There is a report of at least one innocent man was tortured. (story from 60 minutes)

2.
We the people don't have as much say as we think. Obama promised to get rid of "don't say don't tell" in order to get the homosexual vote- but he never did get rid of it. What can the gay public do about it? Nothing. They did their part by trying to get a president that will be kind to gays into power- but that president can lie and make as many false claims as he wants (info from past speeches by Obama and reports of his inaction)

3.
Our mistreatment of people. We put Japanese people concentration camps you know? We treated black people awful for a long time too. Black men in the army were treated so nice in Europe in WWII- but they came home to hate.

4.
our absolute hatred and fear of communists. Remember the Red Scare? Hollywood 10? "haha" is all I have to say to that.

5.
our thirst for revenge. Oh man I am going to get hate for this but- Japan bombed a MILITARY base and then we decided to bomb CIVILIAN AREAS in Japan. We didn't have communication with Japan to let them surrender and thus not get innocent men and women blown to bits and radiated. Truman never made it clear to the Japanese that if they surrender we would not harm their leaders- the main reason they didn't surrender in the first place.

6.
our people.
meh. No, not everyone, but a lot of people. When Japan was hit by the tsunami you know what I heard people say? "Thats what they get for pearl harbor. this is god's revenge" 0_0 Are they serious?

7.
our crime.
HOLY CRAP OUR CRIME. Canada doesn't even have that strong a police force against their people but somehow they dont have people running around raping babies and killing neighbors. What did we do wrong?

8.
our education. China and India children are surpassing us- and yet we still think we are superior.

9.
Corporate personhood. In America, Microsoft, mcdonalds, and EVERY corporation is considered a human with human rights.
(technically, my family 'owns' a human 0_o. We have a corporation... so we OWN a human. lololol)

I can go on and on but I am not a fan of just hating on something soooo hard. We are a place that is nice to live though. Other than what is listed below America is a beautiful place. We arn't too artistic, but our arts like music is known globally. We also help out countries in need. We don't hate countries based on religious background or historic background. Also, our system of government is pretty good (except for the whole we cant make a president do what he promises haha~!)

In a few years I might come to like this place a little more, but currently I am not going to brag about living here. I probably will have to move as I get older because I can not afford the area I live in now in California, so I will probably find a place in the mid country north (bit cheaper up there). As for leaving this place? Depends on where to.

I wouldn't mind living in Luxemburg. Or Sweden. They dont really have a bad past of mistreatment of people

I β™₯ what america stands for.
I just wish we currently stood a bit more for it.

Support our troops We one century might come over this hump and go more then 10 years without hurting anyone. Our troops can help us with that.

If you all hate America so much then why do you continue to live there?
Oh right because you have more freedoms that most other countries, your lives are not in constant danger, you don't have to worry about ISIS and radical Muslims beheading you for being gay, and you all have the right to freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the freedom to pick whatever job/career you want.
Now tell me again, how does that make America so evil? Maybe its because of people like YOU who hate America, that brings out the worst in many Americans.
And also, if its so bad, then why the fuck does everyone keep trying to get into the country, legally and illegally?

You're considered "Anti-American" "A terrorist" and "Ignorant" Just because I don't agree with it?

Basically there isn't really liberty and justice for all, gays can't marry, black people get shot for no reason other than "DEY LOOK LEIK THUGS!!!111", Abortion is illegal, etc. And honestly for the Pledge of Allegiance don't kill me for this but I do the Attack on Titan salute, and not saying the words.

If anyone gets pissed off by me, fine. I'm just placing my opinion

"8.

HAHAHAHA ppppffffttt, kids in Japan who have no homework AT ALL do WAY better than American kids with homework do, this proves children can be successful at times with or without homework. I personally believe only children failing a certain class or need a review need homework. Not even ALL smart people who have good grades like Bs and A+s likeΒ homework or show off in general, my ELA home room teacher says I'm the best and most reliable for everyone and I hate homework like most people. Seriously, if they're enough to remember something they don't need a review unlike those who need it. Β Homework is to see how much you know and how well you are at something, if they're failing and need reviews THEN they might need it. Homework can cause stress, espically if you get in trouble about it.Β
Yet America on the other hand right now seems to think we're highly more educated than they are. PPPFFFFTTTT...

I also am not fond of my home country the U S of A. I've thought of going to Hawaii. Kinder ppl who shake their heads at the cruelty of the mainland, yet still get all the benefits of being in the US. And if you don't live in the commercial cities, it's not too expensive either.

Oh and all you racist people out there? What did they do to us? So what if they have different skin? I know why everybody hates them. Because they are scared of them. People think they are weird and unnatural and everybody is scared of weird things. But they are not weird or unnatural. They are beautiful people who deserve better. And people who hate gays? So what? They like each other. In their worlds, they are the only two people on earth. What would you say if I said that you can't date the opposite gender? What would you do? Punch me? Call me gay myself? And you know what? We are all gay in our own way. If you agree with me, I dare you to say,"I am gay and I'm not afraid!" Even if you are not gay, I dare you to say it. Gay means happy too. Maybe the same gender couple is gay because they are happy. So here it is. I am gay and I'm not afraid. I dared you. Say it back in a reply or something. I am gay and I am not afraid! I am gay and I am not afraid! All you people who hate gays and blacks? What would you say if your best friend was a gay black? What would you do? Nothing. The person is your friend. You can't harm your best friends. These people are what they are and I respect that. They are scared to admit that they are gay. They hide this stuff from us to protect their feelings. Hide your comments to protect yourself because one day. One day you say you don't like somebody, I bet you 100$ that they will slap or punch you so hard, all the ice in the world won't get rid of the pain. The pain inside your sad broken soul. You will probably go back and say sorry but all these people will ignore you and you will feel even worse. So shut up and if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. >_> That felt good to get out. Not one bad feeling at all. Respect. Respect. Respect. We all want it. So give it and the reward will be just as good. Trust me. Now go and hug a random person in the street. And remember. I dared every single person on earth to say,"I am gay and I'm not afraid!"

Well I'm not too fond of what the people here do also. We do have a beautiful country, yes, but I just don't like how the government isn't paying their debt back to China. And do you want to know why so many other countries hate us? We have a military base in just about every country in the world. Would you like it if another country had a military base in America? I wouldn't. Basically the government is stealing from the citizens of America to pay back to China but the dept is still not payed. Where do you think our money is going? Why is everything getting so pricey? Maybe the government is taking money from us every time we buy a carton of milk. And maybe it's going straight into their pocket. Not to China. So yes. I completely agree with you, Lane-Nee-Chan. Errr. It feels so good but so bad to get that out to the world. ._.

8-the reason China and India is surpassing us is because we have public education and everyone has to go to school. That doesn't exist in China or India. They also do not educate disabled children. If things were so much better there, I highly doubt they'd be as many Chinese and Indian immigrants in the USA.

So if you're going to compare us to another country in terms of education, I'd suggest using Canada. They're tied with Japan for reading and Math scores yet their socioeconomic culture is more similar to ours in comparison to China and India.

Add on to number 6: When some people first heard of the disaster in Japan despite knowing we have some citizens still there, go on about how that's what they deserve because Japan and China drown babies if they are female.

I am not a fan of the holier than thou movement. Don't judge anyone, end of story. What? They drown some babies at birth and abortions are still legal in America so we have no right to judge them based on that. They kill babies and so do we as long as abortions are still legal.

"Our mistreatment of people. We put Japanese people concentration camps you know? We treated black people awful for a long time too. Black men in the army were treated so nice in Europe in WWII- but they came home to hate."

Those events happened decades ago and most of the people involved are dead. Put a band-aid on your bleeding heart and get over it; unless you were personally involved, there is ZERO reason for you or anyone to feel any shame or regret for what happened.

"our absolute hatred and fear of communists. Remember the Red Scare? Hollywood 10? "haha" is all I have to say to that."

Perhaps you should look up the body count of communism, as well as what it truly pushes, to understand why we had such feelings. A ideal that calls for the sacrifice of individuals to a nameless, definitionless entity called "society" does not deserve respect or trust.

"our thirst for revenge. Oh man I am going to get hate for this but- Japan bombed a MILITARY base and then we decided to bomb CIVILIAN AREAS in Japan. Ever heard of the Rape of Nanking? Or the Bataan Death March? Or how about the treatment of Allied POWs in Japanese POW camps? Also, considering the Japanese initiated the aggression that started the war, do you honestly believe they were in a rational and moral position to complain about the retaliation they recieved? You don't pick a fight with someone twice your size and then whine when he hits back.

As my grandfather, who fought in WWII and would've probably had to help invade Japan had the A-bomb not been dropped (unless you supported leaving Allied POWs in Japanese hands), once said "If there hadn't been a Pearl Harbor, there wouldn't have been a Hiroshima". When the Japanese initiated force against others, they lost any and every right to be free from the use of force for themselves.

Okay, if I were to base this country on the years I have been alive all we have done is fly people over to other countries to torture them for information, have worsening crime, and statistically not the best people. Our government cant seem to realize what outsourcing is doing (giving jobs to china and India, and taking them away from Americans), yet we freak out over the small trickle of Mexicans coming in. I can't say we have done any better- can you?

"Perhaps you should look up the body count of communism, as well as what it truly pushes, to understand why we had such feelings. A ideal that calls for the sacrifice of individuals to a nameless, definitionless entity called "society" does not deserve respect or trust."

I do know what communism pushes- do you? It is no government involvement a perfect "free" society. No corruption and everyone will be working for everyone else with no classes. Dictators like Stalin define themselves as "communist." What we fear is dictators like stalin and what they do to their people. Communism though? Whats really wrong with it? Sure, it is very impractical, but really Americans hate the idea of it even though they don't know what it stands for. We should have informed people back then of dictatorship- not communism. The red scare lasted I believe a little over 40 years, and there were people put to death for wanting a "perfect society" (aka communist). I for one don't think a communist government can last, but really.

"Ever heard of the Rape of Nanking? Or the Bataan Death March? Or how about the treatment of Allied POWs in Japanese POW camps?"

^ proven point of America's need for revenge. Sorry but had to say that. XD
Did civilians kill the many in Nanking? No. Did those civilians even know what happened in Nanking? No. Should Hiroshima civilians die for what happened in pearl harbor and Nanking? If you say yes to that it is kinda wrong don't you think?

Can you really quick look into Truman's decision to drop the atom bomb? I think 60 minutes did an amazing story on it but I can't find it at the moment. It was mostly about how the Japanese did not surrender because they believed upon surrender their emperor would be killed- that is the truth. Emporer= god to them so they would not. We never explained to them or TRIED to show that surrender will not bring us to destroy their government. Also, they never explained what the atom bomb could do. Also, they only waited 10 days before dropping the second one. In fact, the first one dropped and Truman set into order that the 2nd one be dropped with little discussion with Japanese.

once again:

Bombing military base = That is pretty bad
killing civilians for revenge = Even worse

Once again, I don't hate america. I am just not proud of this place.

Perhaps if big brother wasn't constantly forcing more and more and more costs on business owners, they wouldn't be so eager to search for places without such government interference.

As for communism, why don't you read the works of Ayn Rand? She actually lived under both communism and Capitalism, so she has first-hand experience on the differences between the two.

"Did civilians kill the many in Nanking? No. Did those civilians even know what happened in Nanking? No. Should Hiroshima civilians die for what happened in pearl harbor and Nanking? If you say yes to that it is kinda wrong don't you think?"

Question: What are soldiers before they become soldiers?
Answer: They are CIVILIANS.

Also, the Japanese government openly invited danger on the civilian population by starting the war. It was the Japanese government's job to safeguard Japanese civilians, not America's; our responsibility is only to our own.

Little food for thought, which you very much need:

Tell me, do you believe a nation that initiates force against others outside of rational self-defence has any rational claim to to any mercy from the nations it initiated aggression against?

And my views on the A-bomb were summed up in my earlier post:

The Japanese lost any and all claims to the right to be free from the use of force when they initiated it against others. When you mess with the bull, you not only get the horns, you DESERVE them.

There is debate about weather or not we hate Muslims, annnnnd it is partially true partially not. By law we are REALLY against racial profiling but by individual cops and sectors some still practice it in airports and on the road against minorities. By law and government there is no segregation on discrimination- people wise though americans really don't know how to treat others. I hope this will blow over when we americans stop freaking out about the middle east.

hahahaha! Yeah most countries have something they are not proud of. I guess I hear mostly only about the USA ones since I live there XD. Sweden may not have a clean past, but it is one of the happiest countries in the world So at least they are keeping their people smiling DD

Ah well, if it's in the law you're basicly not hating them. Now that I think about it, it's not like it's american to dislike stuff that's diffrent, everyone does that.

Sweden is a really nice place to live in (except for the weather, urgh) but if you dig into our history, you find some pretty embarrasing stuff.
