I've noticed that I mostly go for fire starters, I won't lie I've definitely had my fair share of grass favorites and like one water type, but this one just sold the cake. Not only does he look nice, but he's part GHOST type like dang. At first I was definitely going to go with litten until I saw the final form..... They definitely screwed that one up.

That's EXACTLY how I was! when i first saw Litten's final evolution i thought to myself "GameFreak REEEAALLLLYY wanted to make another Fire-Fighting, didn't they." Then I saw the other two's final Evos and i just had a hard time choosing! Until i noticed Decidueye was part ghost type. So Rowlet was mine ^.^

I usually pick the grass starters, but I'm especially pleased with Rowlet and his evolutions. I mean, safely can be said that Litten just...god, I don't even know how they could ruin the potential for a cool tiger Pokemon just to make another steroids wrestler. And I guess the seal turned out prettier than I expected. Still, going with the birb

the only thing I don't like about the last evolution is that it loses it's barn owl look, at least in the face. It looks more hawk-like than owl-like, and I was really excited to have some barn owl Pokemon

Same here! Rowlet's final evolution sold me instantly when it was him vs Litten. I don't want to have Tony the Tiger as a starter so Rowlet's final is beyond beautiful and crazy awesome.
It's the first Pokemon game in history where I actually WANT the grass starter. Color me surprised when that revelation hit!

There have been gens where I actually did like the grass starters (like treecko and snivy), but they weren't my first picks. This is the first gen for me where I'm fully on board with team grass XD

Same here. I liked Treecko, but Torchic and Mudkip were much more appealing. I'm so hyped for the ninja archer sniper to compliment my Greninja.
