Well i asked on my facebook page, if people would be interested in a tutorial on the background of my latest rin/haru fanart, because some asked how it was done.i wasn't sure because there are a lot tutorials regarding this topic. But since many wanted to see it, i made this tutorial ^-^
totoro is an easy motive, thats basically the reason why i chose him to explain the technique ^-^

Can you use drawing gum or liquid frisket over areas that are already colored if you don't want them to be colored anymore while you work on a different area that is close enough to possibly ruin the first colored area?

Does drawing gum also works with alcohol-based markers?

if you use markers with airbrush its ok, because the ink will just lay on the surface ^^, if you use them directly, the alcohol ink will be absorbed by the paper, which causes it to go under the gum ^^"

I was actually going to use my watercolors this weekend, so seeing this before I made major mistakes really helped ;u; You used a separate brush for the drawing gum, correct?
