Before

Ayanna’s appearance when she first came to Limbo wasn’t very different from her human one, in fact she didn’t look any different. The answer why it was like this is quite simple: For a child who is afraid of so many things being thrown into a world where her worst nightmares are suddenly the real deal it isn’t easy to accept any form of change. So Ayanna unconsciously used most of her magic to keep her appearance as human as possible, which is why she was always pretty weak when it came to fighting. After she spent a while in Limbo Ayanna slowly began to accept her new ‘home’ and due to that her teeth changed. At first she panicked but soon she realized that those new teeth were capable of fascinating some children. She also made her first friends shortly after that and even fell for someone – which she still isn’t aware of, only because she’s way too naïve to get it.

After meeting her older brother –which is only a misunderstanding, a lie – Ayanna made up her mind and decides to get better at fighting so she can protect those dear to her.

After

Shortly after she met her brother Erik with the help of the Reaper’s candle, Ayanna’s body changed in a drastically way. At first she was uncertain and tried not to think about it too much, however, her brother’s words are constantly haunting her: “You’re a monster!” Now that she learned from one of her newest friends that she and everyone else would most likely forget everything about Limbo, new fears built up inside the little girl’s mind. Losing the memory of her dearest friends whom she promised to meet once they all got back was something she absolutely didn’t want. Therefor she slowly starts to avoid others once again. It goes so far that she’s now at a point where she doesn’t know what to do anymore and if she still wishes to go back to the world of the living.

This is only Ayanna’s current state and it will soon get worse. But well, I don’t want to spoiler too much, all I can say that poor fish bby will experience a mental breakdown that will change her personality a bit. Also her design will change a little bit more~
