Description Just a little something I did today. Random idea randomly brought into life in a random 10 minutes of my Sunday.

Every now and then I get pissed at some fantasy stuff that makes no sense logically (usually involves dragons.... or swords.... or both). Just because it's fantasy doesn't mean you have to totally disregard all logic. It's up to you, of course, you can create something totally ridiculous if you want to. But to me, logic is not a restriction or lack of imagination. In fact, it's exactly the opposite - because it takes serious imagination to logically explain fantasy. Besides, logic adds depth and authenticity to a fantasy world because otherwise it screams "that's by design" from all the loose ends, and at least to me that's freakin annoying.
But anyway, fantasy is up to you. Just as it's up to me whether I like it.

Feel free to use the stamp, just it if you do.

That's why I love Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings so much, it still has the logic to make the story deep.
OK, with Harry Potter you have to search a bit, but it still has the logic in it.

Ugh.... that's not really paragons of logic to me.... I'm not talking about logic in the story, I take that's sort of.... necessary by default. I'm talking about the setting and how things work in the given world. The Harry Potter world is eh well.... naive. Lots of things aren't really logically built. And Tolkien's world is overly simplified and polarized, as it's totally like black and white, and in many ways things are either not grounded in terms of cause - consequences, or in some ways it's totally illogical. Not to mention that for a lot of things there's not even an attempt for explanation - things are sort of given, it's magic or just how things are. And that gives that sort of artificial feeling of the whole world, that kind of "it's by design" feeling I mentioned, and that makes it feel less real. That's largely valid for HP too btw.

Very good point. Love the color pallet of the stamp too as you know my bias for blue/black stuff.

Well, no other color suits fantasy better than blue Thanks!

"It's magic, I don't have to explain shit." <-- I admit I have this mindset every now and then, but I do like trying to go deeper into things and finding ways to explain them. And I like how much effort you put into explaining things in your fantasy stories. :3

In my.... fantasy stories. Right. XD
Well, in my world magic is still physics-based and therefore it obeys the physical laws. It's just physics have.... extras XD
