The g in Lyngen is softened roughly into y from the English "yes".The name of the mountain range is pronounced roughly as "lynn-yen".
We climbed out of the little wonderland and the Sun broke through the clouds and shone a streak of gold on Sultinden. It's almost unbelievable these mountains are right a the shore of the Sea.
View from the coast of Kjosen (Isfjord) at Tytebærneset, north at the nearby mountains.
Kjosen or Isfjord as we call it, is a branch of Ullsfjorden, between the two parts of Lyngen.
This large mountain with a wide cliffy ridge is the southern side of Sultinden (1 083 m).
The dark stretch of trees in front of it is the lowermost part of the Tyteærtinden slope.
