A Braeheart kid because damn I love that shipLiontail was born and raised in Appleloosa and is a very very very active young filly/calf/calfilly/whatever. Liontail's sort of naïve and innocent, and is a really great applebucker. She likes to run around and help out in the orchards too, despite the fact that she spends most of her time with Strongheart and her herd. She gets along well with her classmates, and they think she's really cool since she has a cutie mark and all. Braeburn and Strongheart didn't think Liontail would even be able to earn one, but it happened anyways, so

Her parents probably convinced Twilight to cast a spell on them that would allow them to conceive. Since inter-species relationships are so rare, Twilight didn't think it would hurt to grant their request. The only other inter-species relationship she know of requires no magic because dragons can mate with anything that moves.
