Very pretty greyscale. I have problems with making my fractals less colorful.

For this lesson, Janet just told us to go make greyscale images which contain the whole spectrum of black to white.

Thanks for the kudos and the fav

This one is my new favorite. I love it, absolutely. I love the patterns and textures and the 3-dimensionality of it. Are you going to make it a print?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LaPurr In reply to BitterGrapes [2007-07-05 17:02:35 +0000 UTC]

Thanks muchly!

This homework was giving me headaches (figuratively speaking) but I ended by liking the assignment. Using color again will be a bit strange after all that greyscale.

I hate doing prints: the huge file sizes take forever to render and even when I've made the large sizes and submitted them, they don't always seem to register as being large enough for the print department. I submitted one in the correct size of 6000 x 6000 but it's still only available in very small prints. I hate the whole process.

i was about to say worm.
but it's not...like a fat grey catterpillar
spinning it's thin grey cocoon

and then it'll be a butterfly
possibly grey

The 3D look is impressive, dear. I've never thought deeply about the fact, that I always try to avoid such big shapes. With looking your image this become clear to me. I guess I always find it very difficult to create these shapes interesting enough. I think you did a great job here.

Fascinating piece .. I wish you'd post LARGER .. but I'd never say that to your face .. and would hope you didn't overhear me say it at parties

I pride myself on my discretion ..

I heard that.

I have a personal preference of liking to see the entire image at once on my (obviously smaller than your) monitor. On dA, that's 1074 x 768.

Thanks, Keith
