okay, i have to admit, this one was a bit of a doosey. my last kiriban was won by , and lets face it...his request was a little...challenging! here is his request :"hmm... Can I request an OC from a roleplay that hasn't been drawn before? I unfortunately don't have a concrete reference to offer, but I could go find similar characters if you don't mind filling in the gaps...
Character's name is Magenta, she's a magenta kittygirl with dark blue tigerstripes, maybe 5'4" tall and a c-cup? Also shoulder-length light brown hair. Has the whole "science is fun!" thing going, usual outfit is strapless bra, panties, and stockings, all white, under an unbuttoned white labcoat that comes down to her knees but is split in half from the tail downward so it doesn't obstruct. Has interest in show magic despite lab background, also really likes portals, magical and sci-fi.
Could I maybe request a picture of this cute pink catgirl in a pose similar to [link] from homestuck, except with a portal gun and no blindfold?"
i had no idea where to begin! xD
well, i had to change a few things, but i did my best to get everything he asked for in there! xD the colours are tweaked a little, i apologize. i just couldnt get a good match!

The pose is good. The action, good. The colors? Dear GOD, man, you're more colorblind than HE is and HE recognizes this. Caucasian pink and CYAN? Dear god no. I have half a mind to fire up Krita and SHOW YOU what color is.

*cough cough* first off hombre, it was a free request. one of which he didnt even win. i was trying to be nice, accepting such an unreasonable request.
you complain about the pink and blue, but check what he asked for. a magenta pink with a dark blue, with white clothing and brown hair.
NONE of that went together when i was trying to pick colours, and i decided to try to still make it look good.
while i appreciate your KIND criticism, please refrain from the insults, its making you look bad.

You are the artist. It is your business to make the customer happy. Blatantly refusing parts of the request does not make the customer happy.
Yes, I know my kitty is colorblind. Yes, I know he's more than happy to let you walk all over him. I'm here to fix that. I'm here to ask you to make it work.
A strong magenta isn't going to work, especially with the strong blue he wants. Why not a softer purple with less saturation? Clearly that would be a much better suggestion than PEACH.

It was a free request, my idea was complicated, and he did a pretty job... if you want to argue, I guess I can't stop you, but... try not to make an enemy of this guy, he's really good :/

thanks pythix, im sorry its not quite what you wished for, but i do have specific rules for my kiriban that the character must be predesigned. i wanted to do this for you, my SECOND winner in that kiriban, despite the fact i had full reason to deny it. at least you're not being a jerk, unlike your wonderful friend here.

He's probably overreacting because this is sort of a pattern. Last time I bought a sketch commission from someone, they turned out to be totally unable to draw eyes. I didn't expect it to happen here though because I've seen your art and you draw great eyes. So I guess I'm a little hurt. But hey, gift horses...
I did my best to fix the colors, although I agree the hair throws it off. Maybe I should darken it. [link]
I still maintain that hot pink, navy blue, and starchy white go FINE together :/

You really nailed the sense of motion, too, come to think of it. The hair, the coattails, the tail... and jade's glasses and cowlick are there too, and the eyes are adventure-timey. I guess I don't know what to think of this other than that it's not what I was expecting and yet it's really well done.

Okay, uh, I slept on it and I really just... want to know if I could get the face redone. if you fixed it by my earlier suggestions I was prepared to tip you, so can I commission just the un-derping of the face or something? Because the longer I look at this the more frustrated I get that the face isn't right. I know you did a lot of work and I'm sorry to complain, but... the face is wrong, and it makes me sad. I need to fix it. I love the way you usually do faces... why is this one so off... :‹
