Mom's birthday is tomorrow, and this picture of the illustrious and charming Edward is her present this year- it is a companion piece (a series, perhaps?) to the last two birthday presents pictured here: [link]and here: [link]

Pen and ink, white charcoal pencil and a tad of white acrylic for tiny highlights on paper handmade by ~GraceWillard out of- appropriately enough- timothy hay.

So please explain to me the symbolism of using reptiles, but yet you have this repetition with bunnies?

the reptiles and rabbits are personal favorites, though i tend to get richer in symbolism and metaphor with the reptiles (click the interview link in my signature, it goes pretty well into it). the rabbits are my friends, and though i use them for symbols too (fertility, underground dwellers, crepuscular and therefore kind of in between, ect.) i just as often just draw them because i like them.
