It has been a long time since i Uploaded my symbols of the 7 deadly sins and now I finally made the 7 heavenly virtues upon many many requests.The virtues where not that easy to illustrate in the same kind of style as the sins so I hope they still fall in good taste with the fans of the sin symbols.Β

You can see the difference between the virtues and the sins. The sins have sharp, scary designs. The virtues have softer, angelic lines. I love it!

Hey! I really like these symbols a lot!
I just wanted to let you know, a friend of mine sent these to me and said I should use them for my comic book. They didn't tell me that you made them, and I thought they were made by my friend. If you don't want me to use the symbols, I'll stop and make up my own, but I just really enjoyed them. I'm so sorry I didn't find you sooner to ask properly.

On this, you have outdone your earlier work: the 7 Deadly Sins! Amazing!
In a similar fashion, I will juxtapose my previous verbose critique with an exercise in concise speech. Β From the top:
Chastity. From the lock hole to the intermingling 'rings', to the cross and the halo, the icon is forward with its cultural symbolism. The circle set within the cross could be a hole or the alignment of two 'diamond' rings. If you didn't label label it, I could still identify Chastity correctly.Β
Temperance. Long convincing me that it is the symbol for justice, I am similarly led stray. The general public may find it instantly recognizable. It's hooked ends, wider middle circle and bulging ends make it your own, not generic.
Charity. I mistook it for a fly with a cat mark on its neck. The hands are clearly defined and its overlap to the gifts is essential despite its singularity. This icon's double ovals enables more choice in the following icons. Again, easy to identify.
Diligence. A reflected pickaxe and possibly a mirrored crab, carriage, or a Sisyphean figure. If the final, a true legend of diligence! With the pickaxe alone, labor is understood.
Kindness. Beautiful, complete, but abstract. I may excluded from its reference symbol. I recognize it last and just marginally after eliminating Humility.
Patience. Originally perceived as a Dalek relative, it is remarkably profound. A broken hour glass does not keep track of the past - both time-relevant and limitless. The sand grain touch invites lingering despite its singularity.
Humility. Abstractly, the divine (as a cross symbol) and being lowly beneath it (second bar.) The middle circle to define the space between.
Overall, it remains a true complement to the sins.
the repeated motif: a halo for virtues an eye for sins.Β
the lines: curved points and lines vs straight edge, always colored
the fill: empty and light vs full and heavy
the fonts: continuing the each with its own font

Think you very much! I have tried my best to get to symbols in a similar style and i kind of managed that if I say so.
I am thinking of making some attritions to some of the symbols like Patience, Kindness and maybe diligence. ideas for alterations are welcome, then i will see what I can do with it in according with my vision.
What do mean by "Shading"? I haven't placed any shades on any of the sins either or any other symbol I made.

What I mean by shading is like with the emotions or sins how they have the black and then are outlined by the color.
Also the little crescent above every symbol is perfect like the eyes were for the sins. And I have no real ideas for alterations considering everything is good and even the shapes of these symbols are a great duality of their opposites ^^.
I really like these sets and actually plan to get tattoos based on them, am making two gangs for a game I am running and writing a history for a war between angels and Demons with these symbols being a focus. Suffice to say, I love them.

Aha, that is something that i'm not really sure of. The Sins are evil so to color them with black is and use color for outlining sets the tone for their dark nature. The virtues however are pure, thats why they are white with color outlining, if i make them black it takes away the purity and lowers their opposite effect.
For the use of tattoos white is a bit troubling but for the symbols it adds detail to the concept.
I would like to see something of the game you are planning to make where you want the symbols for, it sounds pretty interesting.

Hmn... How about a golden shading then? In adverse to the black shading of the other? Β Or just a more accented white...
And as for my game, I'm making the two set's of symbols into two rival gangs, focusing on the virtues as the 'mafia' and the sins as the 'street gang' I am currently building them up.

An accented white might do the trick of giving it a little bit more personality so i will give that a try.
The virtues as the mafia, did not see that coming, it is a nice concept though.Β

Artwork of the Mafia? I don't have any yet, I really am a bad artist (I'm only good at writing stories and story arcs and such for games) but what I have in mind is the city I'm having my characters play in deal with these two factions back and forth, and the different sections of the gang/mob have the different symbols.
Like lust is prostitution, Dilligence will be money trafficking... The like.
