Chalks on toned paper 4x4in.This little drawing was done in 'trois crayons', a traditional style of drawing that uses three colours of chalk (black, white and sanguine). Trois crayon drawings were popular in 17th century, which pioneered by the great Baroque dude, Sir Peter Paul Rubens.
