Description
Dryads are human-like tree nymphs that live in the Kingdom of Arborum. They are magically connected to the tree they are born from and their health is directly tied to the tree's health... if the tree is sick, they get sick, if the tree dies, they die. They have branches sticking out of their heads that look like antlers, and possess powerful nature magic. All Dryads are female, so they usually marry humans from outside the forest to reproduce (kinda like Gerudo from Legend of Zelda).

The children of Dryads are called Seyateli (or Seyatel, singular). When a Dryad has a child, they start out as a fruit or seed that grows on their branches before being planted into the ground to grow into their tree of birth (the type of seed is dependent on what kind of birth tree the Dryad has). Once the tree is fully grown, a hollow will open up with the child safely tucked inside. Unlike Dryads, Seyateli can be either male or female. However, all female Seyateli are born with a Heart Seed, which can be returned to their tree of birth when they come of age in order to transform into a Dryad (Seyateli are physically the same as a human, just born from seeds).

So yeah, anyway I got a little carried away making a bunch of different background OCs for this species:

1) Sakura is (as her name suggests) a Dryad based on Sakura trees. Her Seyatel Seed is a cherry, and because of this it is very common for this type of Dryad to have twins. Sakura has a twin as well, but I was too lazy to draw them because they probably look pretty similar if not identical to her.

2) Zhu Zhu is based on Bamboo. While technically not a tree in the traditional sense, bamboo is still wood-like so it still counts. The word "Zhu" supposedly means bamboo but google keeps giving me inconsistent translations so I don't know how accurate that is. Her Seyatel Seed is a bamboo shoot.

3) Juniper is based on Spruce Trees. Her Seyatel Seed is a pine cone (spruce cone? I dunno pine cone rolls off the tongue better). She's somewhat tomboyish, but her favorite food is Sweet Berries.

4) Beatrice is based on Birch Trees. Her Seyatel Seed is one of those little Birch fruits/samaras/seeds/whatever they're called (the caterpillar-looking things), and she has a beehive hanging from one of her branches. The bees are mostly friendly, and won't sting people... but if Beatrice or their hive is threatened they will attack.

5) Coco is based on the Jungle Trees from Minecraft. Her Seyatel Seed is in the form of cocoa beans. She's the village witch, and spends a lot of her time making potions and brewing caffeinated beverages using Non-Dryad cocoa trees (because eating fruit grown from a Dryad or their birth tree is incredibly taboo, just to be clear... the fruits entire purpose is to provide nutrients for the Seyatel. Eating fruit from regular trees is okay though).

6) Aisha is based on Acacia Trees. Her Seyatel Seed is a little seed pod like Acacia trees have in real life... Acacia Dryads can have up to three seeds in a single pod, but its usually just one. The other little seed-looking things are instead full of nutrients for the Seyatel.

7) Granny Marigold is based on Mangrove Trees. She's the eldest Dryad in the village, and used to be Queen of the Dryads when she was younger. She has since retired, passing the role to her apprentice, Queen Aponi. Her Sayetal Seed is a Mangrove Propagule.

8) Cacia is based on cactuses. Like the bamboo, cactuses aren't technically trees, but I don't care. Unlike the other Dryads, Cacia doesn't live in Arborum Forest. She lives in the desert region of Ardere. She's very prickly towards strangers, but once you get to know her she's very sweet. Though she struggles to make friends, she's very loyal to the ones she does have.
9) Allium is based on Azalea Trees from Minecraft (Azaleas are more of a bush than a tree in real life). Her Sayatel Seed is an Azalea Bulb, and her favorite food is Glow Berries.

10) Illana is based on Oak Trees. Unlike Ivy (who has apples because Minecraft logic) Illana's Sayatel Seed is an acorn. She's generally very open and friendly to others. She's Tamala's younger sister, and Ivy's cousin.

11) Tamala is based on Dark Oak Trees from Minecraft. She was banished from Arborum after she fell in love with a Myceliad boy. Normally, her Sayatel Seed would be a Pinwheel... But because she eloped with a Myceliad, her children are all Gribniki instead (people who come from mushroom sprouts instead of seeds). She is Illana's older sister.

12) Leilani is based on Palm Trees. Her Seyatel Seed is a coconut. Palm Trees aren't in Minecraft yet, but I'm still holding onto hope they actually get around to adding their Biome Vote features someday.
