This is an exceptionally nice photo, Samantha! I may have seen yellow wasps on pink flowers and yellow wasps on yellow flowers, but I've never seen a pink wasp on a pink flower, so well done. It is very effective. Next step: "coaxing a pink wasp on to a yellow flower"
I am not knowledgeable on North American wasps but from searching, I would guess that this might be a potter (or 'mason') wasp called Pachodynerus erynnis.

I added your picture of the bee to my "Too Cute" gallery. I nearly placed this one under "Villains, Demons, Hellions and Fiends"! Wasps are just some of the most irritated, grumpy, vicious, confrontational, remorseless, sadistic people I've ever met.
