page 1 of my manga/comic "Crimson"! look i did the first page o__Osorry nothing much happens here
just setting the scene here and showing the main character, you'll find out who she is later 
enjoy, please critic! i've never done anything like this before so i'd like lots of opinions please
done in pencil because it was only supposed to be a practice piece but i got carried away.

P.S.'sgood. The only thing I find just the smallest bit weird, is her mouth/lip shape on the bottom square. But maybe that's just the style of this comic.

oh right! yeh, it's the first page for the story. i'm using the exact story line as from my original writing. but the comic will go past what i've written, the rests in my head

You should write up the written-version of the story, and upload that. Either to scraps or normal. You can have it as a companion-deviation, or something.

yeah, well i've got the written version on my laptop but i don't really wanna upload it, it'll just spoil the story line for everyone.
hmm thanks. well i haven't even started the second page yet, i'm planning on finishing this properly in summer, i'll just do 1 page every now and then when i get time, so i won't be able to start the second page for a while...

no not really. i'm basing it on the story i wrote of this so i'm taking like each paragraph and using that to make each panel. the ideas are mostly in my head though. i hope i don't fogrget.

Pretty awesome. Good to see you branching out and being so successful at it. This is great work.
The 180 degree rule is actually a film making term. Basicially, when filming characters have to stay on the same sides of the screen throughout an entire scene. If you have two characters you draw an imaginary line from the middle of one set of eyes to the middle of the other set of eyes and extend the line past both of the characters heads in to infinity. The camera can never cross this line. The reason being that the screen position of the characters changes and it jars the audience. For a split second everyone watching thinks "What just happened?" Of course you can break this rule if you want, just be sure that you are aware of it.
So far, so good though.

No problem, I know it gets tricky for filming. Especially when shooting over the shoulder shots. Easy way to look at it is to just always keep the characters on the same side of the panel.
Totally looking forward to more of these by the way. These first two pictures actually have me quite intrigued.
