Description The beauty of the cosmopolitan city. Hour after hour, day after day, these two guys spend their time facing each other on the corner of Baker Street and Marylebone Road in London. One of them is trying to attract spiritual followers, the other one - clients for a nearby shop.

I actually would really like to purchase a copy of the Quran when I'm able to so I can have a better understanding of this life anf maybe of the other.

TinyPasserine In reply to blocnotes [2012-08-18 05:59:33 +0000 UTC]

Eh, I said this earlier, but I managed to get a copy for free from the Islam club at my school. If you have something like that or a community centre in your area, you may be able to talk to them to get a copy of the Qu'ran for free as well. Just be sure to express your interest, and they'll be happy to share their religion

Wow. Interesting.

And I'm no expert on the Quran, but... I don't think those are quotes from it...
Though I could be totally wrong.

And the outfit of the man holding the right sign... Hmmmm...

Yeah. Interesting.

you're welcome and in reply to your comment below, Jesus is seen as a prophet, son of the virigin Mary ^^

NebetSeta In reply to metalangel123 [2012-08-20 23:28:31 +0000 UTC]

I honestly didn't know; and, maybe my first comment was 'lazy', but it just seemed - as I said - too Christian. I didn't even think to qualify it with a research, 'cause I thought it was plainly false. I thought perhaps that sign was made up and a 'trap' of sorts to get people to convert. I found it strange the man holding the quotes sign wore a military like uniform and boots. I was obviously very wrong. I never knew that was in the Quran. I thought that it wouldn't mention much about Jesus or his birth at all.

Well, I have a copy of the Quran, Bible and of the Torah. Someday I will read them and learn for myself what's truly said in there. I am not Christian, Muslim or Jewish, but I was born into a Christian family and raised Christian. I know more things about the Bible, but, never read it through. I bought the copies, and will read them, because I should know what I speak of if I am ever going to learn more about Canaan and how that people and land truly were in ancient times and hope to bring true light about both to the present day.

Thank you.

-Sorry for the late reply -
I get where your coming from, especially since there's a lot of negativity towards Islam, in general. Besides, you now know that you were wrong, and learned something new and all, so that's really all that should matter
And on the note of Jesus, he's actually mentioned around 50 times I think, whereas Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned only 4 times ^^

I think that awesome I was planning on doing that (reading all three holy texts) but I don't know where to start for Christanity..hmm might attempt it next summer

NebetSeta In reply to metalangel123 [2012-09-03 13:56:54 +0000 UTC]

Wow. I would think Jesus was mentioned maybe two or three or four times. I'm very surprisd, and yes, definitely have learned something! I appreciate that!

And, thank you for not jumping down my throat about things. I have to admit that I do have a bad habit of asking questions first and then searching for the answers later. Perhaps that insults others, or angers them, but... Well, I have to admit it's a habit that would be nice to break, so that if I learn before having to ask someone... Time's not wasted, etc.

Again, sorry for the late reply

I was surprised too (Even though I'm Muslim and should technically know that, although I'm sure tons of others don't know it ^^) And you're welcome

No problem I sometimes do that too unfortunatly Figured you were doing the same thing, so it's all good

charrington In reply to NebetSeta [2012-08-18 00:52:33 +0000 UTC]

What a lazy comment. I mean how hard is it to look up on the internet see if they are from Quran or not.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NebetSeta In reply to charrington [2012-08-18 06:42:15 +0000 UTC]

Uhm, I don't know if it would be hard or not, honestly. It looked honestly too Christian to me, so I doubted it. Also, the little I know about Islam, Jesus may be the son of the three monotheistic religions' deity, but not the (or a?) prophet. So... That's another reason why I doubted it. It wasn't meant to be a 'lazy comment' at all. I honestly never knew a Muslim equivalent to such was in the Quran!

oh i wonder how soon this became a purely religious topic in the comments.
Anways on first sight i thought they would have to stand next to each other so the signs would make sence on their own and together, but both were taking a break. xD
And someone should tell the one on the right to not wear his pants in his socks... ughh men are the same like everywhere! ;0
Good seen!

lol i didn't know there are Muslims preachers holding signs like that to promote Islam. That's really weird for a Muslim like me because most of the Muslims converts embraced Islam usually by choice...

But nevertheless, this is such a thought provoking photo = awesome

Awkward kinda. They should strike up a conversation. It seems like at least the Muslim might want to have a conversation with the guy so he can further promote the religion. But I dunno, maybe they are friends...

Yes, also in story the followers of Muhammad (PBUH) went and said these lines to the Christian King (i forgot the land) when they were questioned of their presence there. The Christian King was highly surprised to say the least, having hear villagers who have never heard the bible in 600 years say such a history...
