A quick sat-phone text conversation with an old friend starts us off. Why? Because things are already going a little sideways. Sam isn't taking chances. It's time to have a Plan C in place. (Why C? She always has a Plan A & B. This is C.) surely she won't need it?

It's cleanup time. Both girls have magical paths that are different, for all that they are dominantly damage dealers. Loa's ability to summon a heavy-duty arcane golem can serve to handle heavy lifting and get the standing stones back in position, something Samantha could never pull off (Ropes and pullies for her...). Sam, meanwhile, specifically has trained in the ability to counter existing spells or spells being cast. She is nowhere near as powerful at this as Kierra the Black (who is terrifying), but Loa has no real dispelling spells in her skill set. They complement each other pretty well in this moment (and both can clean up the blood, skull and paint easily enough with magic.

But even with it all being cleansed, Sam seems sure that the problem isn't completely solved. They might need Kierra's power after all.
