Description

In foreground the Altmuehl Bridge in Ornbau, Franconia, which today has five arches, was probably built in the middle of the 17th century. In the background left side the "lower gate" of the town first fortification was built around 1286. And on the right side the church. A predecessor building was consecrated by Bishop Gundekar in 1053 on the site of today's parish church of St. James.
