Description This was a week long project. I painted it from life for two hours with window light in order to get the most accurate colors, and then I changed the foreground/background and simplified the napkin with my reference photo. I couldn't get a photograph without a glare with my lighting situation, so I hope to take a better photo later!

I really enjoy still life paintings because, unlike portraiture, little drawing errors go unnoticed.

True dat... I haven't gotten the chance to do much still life but I just bought some oils the other day. Might test them out for that very purpose...there's something just way too charming about food portraits, lol
