What a nice painting! I really like that touch texture and how the blades of grass are a bit blurry so it seems like we're really in the piece. The only issue I have is that the tree doesn't seem like much of a tree, it's a bit dwarfed. Also, there's only two main planes, I think if you added another plane in the background this piece would have a lot more impact!

I'm really conflicted in this image, its very emotional but sort of dark. The phrase that keeps coming to mind is "childhood lost". Except for the hint of grass in the foreground, the image is sterol of life, and very somber. This is one of those images that can be interpreted in many ways depending on the viewer.
