Happy New Year, everyone!Since Togashi finally revealed a part of Kurapika's past in December, I couldn't help but draw Kurapika and his parents. <3 They were such a cute family! And it was kind of weird to see Kurapika being all sassy and rough while speaking his mother tongue (and using 'ore' instead of 'watashi'), but I loved to know more about him and his brethren.
(I guess my birthday picture from 2012 is now obsolete, lol.)
I made the picture monochromatic because, well, we don't actually know Kurapika's parents' color schemes. Although I suppose Kurapika's mom will be blond with grayish brown eyes, just like her son (since he takes after her).
I can't wait to see the movie!

This chapter was so heartbreaking. Especially Kurapika's mom. It's difficult to comprehend that such a lively woman could die in such a grotesque manner.

hey, someone used that pic on Facebook, but he/she removed your signature at the top at the left ....Is that ok? ._. He/she wrote the name of his/her page instead....

No, it's not OK. x__x They didn't ask for permission, and even if I gave them permission (which is not the case), they are not allowed to remove my signature out of respect for the artist.
My art has been reposted to Facebook several times without giving me proper credit, but I think this is the first time they actually remove my signature...

Do you mean updated on the manga? The two chapters covering Kurapika's past have been online since last December (as "Kurapika's Reminiscences," parts 1 and 2), so you can read them online. ^^

such a beautiful and heart felt piece. Kurapika looked so happy with Mamapika and Papapika. It's too bad Feitan and the others tortured them to death. I wish Togashi drew the massacre. Uvo said that they were strong and that they put up a good fight before they were killed.
I wonder if they show it in the in the movie.

Kurapika de pequeñín me recordó muchísimo tanto a Gon como a Leorio (por el carácter que tenía y que se enfadaba con mucha facilidad), y el hecho de que se fuese de su aldea para buscar un médico también me hizo relacionarlo con él. ;__;
¿Con Pairo? Por supuesto que lo dibujaré, tenlo por seguro. <3 Tengo un par de ideas en la cabeza, así que a ver cuándo saco tiempo y las dibujo...
