There is no double exposure in this one, although I use them from time to time. This is a straight shot. The face on the left is a translucent mask.

It's interesting about the "bauhaus" reference, It came to mind, but I was thinking the band LOL
I like the effect of the contrast between the thumbnail size and full view - at first glance, the mannequin's face appears to be a shock of blond hair, an incongruous splash of levity(?), that when resolved, seems like you're of "2 minds" about reality v.s. surreality, or serious v.s. silliness

I like the band too. I try to avoid silliness but I don't mind the reality vs. surreality.
(I'm on my neighbors computer at the moment. I couldn't stay away.)

I wasn't suggesting there was anything silly about the pic, it was the contrasting expressions of your face and the mannequin's that made me think of comedy/tragedy masks. I don't like analyzing art, I think it should speak for itself, and here's a good case for me to shut up LOL.
And yah, this place is certainly addictive !!

The same with me, I've had some downright nasty things said about my music and art, but if it prodded them into saying it, I take it as a compliment that I reached them in some way.

Interesting..I like the mood & ambience but there's something with the composition that really irritates me..
the "too" cropped head of the doll, the feeling of the whole sinking out of frame...

That's alright. You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Everything is somewhat askew in this image but for me it suits. It reminds me somewhat of the snapshots of the Bauhauslers or the DaDa crew. I loved those candids and I think this is the closest thing one could do of a candid self portrait.
