Photobomber: Belle (pronounced bella)
I have been loving taking my self portraits lately! I hope you have been enjoying them as much as I have. In a strange way, it has been exhilarating to have the everything done by myself. I get to choose what I shoot and how I shoot it. I was playing around with light the other day and couldn't help but be mesmerized by the light that comes in from my window. I choose this shot because apparently my cat was just as mesmerized, and every time I went to take a shot she would jump to the window. She has a thing for photobombing. Anyway, just wanted to share that with you and let me know what ya wanna see. Self portraits? More LS Studios work? idk hehe

This is my favorite of your new self portraits so far. The window light balances it nicely, though I know some wouldn't like it for being too bright. I think this pic would be too stark or dramatic otherwise, even with Belle there. Nicely done!

Self portraits have always fascinated me, since you have the artist both behind and in front of the camera. Β It's even more true when you have a series of self portraits, so you begin to get a deeper feeling for what the artist wants to say about him/herself. Β I'll say that you have a beautiful picture here. Β I like a photographer who has the confidence to bend/break some of the rules. 
I love the pose, framing, the curve of your waist and the intensity of the look in your eyes. Β Not overtly sensual, but confident and unafraid -- anticipating.
The title is fascinating. Β Sometimes I think half of the artistry of a piece is captured in the title, when someone really takes the time to think about it. Β (I know; titles can be really hard!) Β It definitely tells me what the picture made YOU think about when you saw it. Β Belle is funny and cute, but the title also asks the question of what YOU are playing in the shadows. Β (I don't presume to know the answer to that question, but it's interesting to ask...
(BTW - I'm a sculptor, so I can't take a photograph to save my life, but I never cease to be amazed by people who really DO understand how to take a good photo!)

titles are a pain...although i have been very inspired by quotes on my thoughts on life, love, happiness, change...whatever...i have definitely always been a rule breaker too lol thank you!

Sometimes other people, when they look at a piece fresh, can come up with the right name you're looking for.
Well, keep breaking those rules, and taking portraits. Β Personally, I like your self-portrait work even better than the other pictures (though your other modeling work is still stunning!). Β I think your work reflects a deeper side of you -- baseball bat and all. Β
