Ummmm yeah I drew them as cats, because honestly, they look more like cats to me. At least espeon does. But they're supposed to be foxes, according to their creators xD

Actually I looked it up. Both Umbreon and Espeon are very cat-like, but Espeon is the most feline of the group. Also it's the first time I've seen Umbreon drawn like a cat. Excellent work here.

on bulbapedia, it refers to Espeon as a cat, and umbreon has "cat-like eyes" so i guess they could be more likely cats. nintendo just have species recognition difficulties, clearly.
