Description On an afternoon such as the one that sunny Saredoca was enjoying, Seralde Melathra was fortunately not busy with Lord Gionassi Belfry's son and the boy's education. Such as it was, he was a terrible pupil and typically only managed to tie his lovely elven tutor to a chair and torment her for hours on end. Still, the money was good, and Belfry gave her run of his library. This is why she told people that she was the librarian for the estate and not the tutor.

With the bratty child out with his mother today, and the odious Gionassi Belfry himself away on business, Seralde could lose herself in a book and some of the lord's wine. She would probably have to pay for it tomorrow being tied tightly and poked by a wooden sword from sunup to sundown…

… But that's tomorrow.

I can't imagine how I procrastinated so long on this.  All I had to do was draw a bookshelf filled with books and things.

Jim's really loving those ellipses today.

Seralde stared miserably into space while her student, Gionassi the Younger swept his wooden sword about him, fighting off imaginary foes. The poor girl was, once again, tied to her chair, and her slender feet were propped up on top of her desk. The mean-spirited child had tied Seralde's two big toes together before and had proceeded to apply the feather to his lovely Ebragraven tutor's feet. And all this was done within the first five minutes of what was meant to be the child's morning lesson.

The Lord Gionassi Belfry entered the room. He casually lifted the Elvish maiden's soft, red hair to his nose to sniff at it.

"Good morning, milord!" said Seralde gravely.

Gionassi chuckled and started rubbing the Elf's shoulders. "Why so glum, child?"

Seralde let out a sighed. "The young master will not respond to my instructions, milord."

Gionassi laughed. "Strong-willed little fellow, is he not?" He switched his gaze to his son.

"Giony? You do as you're told and listen to your tutor. You hear me?"

The boy nodded solemnly. "Yes father!" he replied.

Lord Gionassi smiled and patted the Elf on her shoulders. "See? It's settled."

The lord left the study, but his son just continued his shenanigans. He ran up to Seralde and started poking the young she-elf's bare feet with the toy sword.

"Die dragon, dies!" the boy yelled boisterously. He then dropped the sword then reached for the quill from Seralde's inkwell on the desk.

"No!" cried the Elf in panic. "Not that again, please!"

The boy giggled as she inked the point of the quill and started to scratch it against the soft, flawless heels of Seralde's bare feet.

"Please, little master, no more!" yelled the young Elf. Tears streamed down her eyes as her body spasmed in reaction to Young Gionassi's tickling. The boy grinned as he scrawled ink with the sharp quill-point across the girl's sensitive elvish feet. She could have kicked the little brat away from her, but Seralde's gentle and passive nature wouldn't allow it. She giggled uncontrollably as the youngster switched between the softer bristles to the sharper-point of the writing quill.

"Where's the treasure dragon?" the little boy shouted. Deeply invested in his imaginary interrogation.

Seralde's toes twitched and feet shook in reaction. She was crying and giggling all at once. "All right, noble sir. Spare me, please!" she started to indulge the boy. "The treasure is kept ina jar beneath my desk! Please, no more!"

Young Gionassi stopped what he was doing and looked under Seralde's desk and retrieved the jar. He lifted the lid and found inside some honeyed candies.

"Yay, treasure!" the boy shouted in triumph.

Seralde giggled in her chair.

"Can you please untie me?" she asked the young master.

He obliged her.

I can well imagine the Belfry brat having a sheepish Seralde tied to her seat and poking her dainty elf feet with his toy sword.

Seeing this, I have wondered if Seralde resigned before possibly taking a new private tutoring job with Vellentia's son?

Can never have too many elves - especially cute redheads.

Very stylish elf lady and dress!

One thing that comes to mind: With the hard shadow it looks like she is sitting out in the sun with her bookshelf. It would be an interesting experiment to give the same drawing a totally different mood, that of a dimly lit room. Maybe with a ceiling light.

Your gentle elvish women are beautiful. They give credit to the mythos of their soft features and allure. And Seralde here makes a guy want to read books.

However, it would be fun to peep over the Belfry's fence and see Seralde the damsel restrained to the one lemon tree thin enough for that little turd's skip-ropes to tie her to.

Yeah, I don't do a ton of waifish, tiny elves.  Sure, most of them have some muscle to them, but if anything I've got my share of the soft, classically curved sort you'd see in old paintings.

Man, I kinda painted myself into a corner, though.  I gotta draw her having tutoring troubles.

Your elves look resourceful, both toughened and blessed by the forests around them. So well adapted that they have time to.... tutor dumb kids, apparently

Were I that kid, I would be googling "tiger snares" and "building a water balloon gatling gun"

Good yet sadly rare.  This is all your fault.

Personally I find myself reading practically everyday.  I got into A Song of Ice and Fire, and I'm coming up on the end of book three.  Read every morning and every lunch break and at home...  Dunno what I'm gonna do when I run out of books in this series.
