My comparison of the Armada Starscream toys from the original Max-Con class of the Armada toy line and the voyager in the Legacy line

Pros

Heavily improved articulation. As you can get the Legacy figure in all sorts of dynamic poses that people like me as a kid wished they could do with the original toy.
The shoulder mounted Null Cannons can be deployed in both robot and vehicle mode. The jet thrusters they transform from can also be positioned in either like they are in the show and original toy. Or position them like the Thrilling 30 figure.

Mixed

The inclusion of the Star Saber is a nice inclusion. As Starscream did bond with the Mini-Cons in the show. However, it is very undersized to the point it looks like a short sword in person. I do like that it is the Air Defense Team merged together into the saber instead of the design they take on when they are combined in the show.

Cons

The Wing Sword isn't a detatchable left wing that unfolds into a sword. Instead, the Legacy figure has a molded fake one. Left unpainted, which is ashamed as it was painted in promo images that made it on the back of the package. It is also very undersized, as it doesn't look like it is a large chunk of the wing unfolded into a sword. The actual jet wing on the figure can be folded back to make the illusion that Starscream removed it to become the sword, but the illusion is broken in certain angles. I've seen a few reviewers be in favor of the sword not being an actual detachable wing. Which I can understand as it doesn't cause the jet mode to have a missing wing if the sword is lost. I however am for the actual wing being removable and transforming into a sword. As that I feel was one of the key play features of the original toy that could be recreated from the show.
The Legacy figure does not come with a new Swindle Mini-con. This was due to budgetary constraints, which while understandable. It does feel like the figure is incomplete.
Overall, this is a really good update to the original Armada Starscream toy. I wish I had the Thrilling 30 toy to enhance the comparisons. But it was released during a time when I truly stopped collecting Transformers.
