Description It was around Cybertron, I really started to collect Transformers as a kid. As such, I was very determined to get all of the toys in the toy line. Or at least all of the characters that did appear in the show. As well as get all of the pieces of the map that showed all of the toys for a certain wave on the back.

I am proud to be one of the lucky sons of a gun that managed to get all of the Planet Leaders of Cybertron. As a kid, what got me to want to get all of them was the fact they had a gold Cyber Key. Now I appreciate them each for various different reasons. Naturally I got them one at a time over the course of a birthday, Christmas, Easter, or just plain getting it when my mom could afford it.

Scourge was the first one I ever got. In fact, he was also the first of the Cybertron toy line I got. No doubt because of the fact he was a dragon, with his Cyber Key power being to sprout two extra fire breathing heads. Override I got next, as that was when the show was starting to air on Cartoon Network, she was the first leader I saw on the show. Evac was next, really apricate him and wish he was in more Transformers media. Metroplex naturally was the last one to get. I love that he manages to tower over every other toy in the toy line, even the Supreme Class Primus toy. Yet he was sold as a Leader Class.

As an adult, I really like and appreciate that each of the planet leaders are in different classes. It really makes you want to try to get them all and see what each of the size classes have to offer. Though I will admit they each have their flaws. Override having the biggest issue of a very intrusive automorph gimmick. Scourge suffers from "gorilla arms" in robot mode, which is made worst by the fact they could have included a wrist swivel for him. Or at the least positioned the hands in a way that makes the elbows in beast mode still face the correct position. Metroplex meanwhile cannot hold his weapon all that well due to the electronics in it and the connection point being not the best. Evac meanwhile manages to somehow be the best, as the helicopter propeller is easy to remove, eliminating how cumbersome it can be in robot mode and transformation. The only downside is how tight the connection points for transformation are. As he feels thin and easy to break in hand, even when he was fresh out of the box.

Really glad these four are in my collection.
