My interpretation of the TMNT character, Mrs. Jones.

The mother of Casey Jones, Mrs. Jones isn't featured that much in any TMNT continuity. If ever explored like the rest of the Jones family.

First appearing in the Mirage comics, Mrs. Jones appeared during the City at War arc. Casey having to go to her after the death of his wife Gabrielle and the birth of his adopted daughter Shadow. Helping her out in maintaining an apartment complex in New York, and in turn probably helped him out in raising Shadow. Eventually April ended up buying the complex as a result of an inheritance she got. Something Mrs. Jones welcomed as she wanted to move down into Florida. Only requesting that April keep Casey on as the handy man. Resulting in Casey and April's relationship being renewed.

Her one and only animated incarnation is in the 2003 series. Appearing in season 3's episode, H.A.T.E., having one day showing up up at the Jones farmhouse. Being very protective of her son and putting April through a series of grueling tests. Tests that Splinter and Leo secretly aided her in. The whole time April gets more frustrated with her until the end when Mrs. Jones said she approves of April. Letting her relax with a slice of pie and apple cider. Somehow, she knew the whole time that Leo and Splinter were helping April, but never got upset over them being Casey's friends. She would make only one other appearance in Back to The Sewers. Attending Casey and April's wedding.

For my interpretation, Mrs. Jones shows up not too long after the turtles, Casey, and April fled to the Jones Farm as a result of Krang's invasion. Stating that she got Casey's call about his where abouts and came to check up on him. Bringing Shadow along as well given it was too dangerous to stay in New York. All the while the turtles try their best to stay hidden from her and Shadow, with April constantly being pushed around and belittled by her. Eventually leading to April exploding on Mrs. Jones in a long rant that made Casey turn pale white. Only for Mrs. Jones to speak in happily to the girl for standing up for herself and taking no bull from her. She would also come to learn about and meet the turtles when Cousin Sid came around to find the family treasure. Finding them to be one of the family just like April.

By the time of the Mutated City arc, Mrs. Jones had made her apartment complex into a safe haven for mutants. Finding what is happening to them to be downright awful since most of them were once just regular people and animals living their lives.
