On the North York Moors there is a Heritage Railway called the North York Moors Railway. They have a collection of old trains that they run between Pickering and Whitby. The journey takes about an hour and a half each way with a few stops on the journey. It was great fun and a wonderful way to get to Whitby to spend a day on the coast. This locomotive is 76079 Class 4 2-6-0. It was built in 1957.ΒRelated content

I travelled in an outdoor carriage of a steam train years back, we were warned first about being down wind of the sooty steam.
