Description My initial reaction when assigned a housecarl: assume that meant a slave. They're actually more like bodyguards, and extremely loyal and trustworthy as they are sworn to protect those they serve with their life.

Thinking on it...calling a housecarl a slave would probably be extremely offensive...very much so...

Good thing that wasn't an option to respond with...

Way to start out on the wrong foot with your adventuring companion, Saraya. >.>

Technically I had this reaction during my husband's playing of the game, but whatever~ K!Saraya and Lydia. Comic one of future Skyrim related comics. I'm still practicing with this style, so we'll see how it works out. Hopefully I'll get a lot of practice with backgrounds as well. For now though, enjoy. :3

LOL, I can just imagine her making a long-winded self-righteous speech about the evils of slavery, calling the Jarl an evil tyrant, then heroically marching out to free the slaves of Whiterun, all the while completely ignoring Lydia's protests that she *isn't* a slave.

That would be absolutely hilarious. XD Β Alas I think Saraya's too naive to make such heroic speeches, especially since a simple "No" from Lydia would be enough to change her tune. Β Besides, she'll have way too much fun dragging Lydia around with her. X3

In the game, the cat people look....well, intimidating and emotionless...and personally a turn off. However, your artwork make your character look very beautiful and full of emotions!

Alright... I've gone through four housecarls so far. XD
I lost Lydia in the woods on my way to Ivarstead.
I lost my second one in Solitude.
I killed Erik the Slayer myself when he didn't help me escape when I got in trouble at Whiterun.
And they killed Stewar in Windhelm while we were trying to escape... XD

I swear, whenever i'd steal something she'd bash me in the back of the head. I had to replace her with Marcurio cause it was makin me mad. Spend half the game makin a living bein thievy, then Lydia comes along and makes you feel all guilty.

After plaything through this game TWICE, with... *ashamed to say* 100+ hours for each playthrough, I can honestly say... that look in the last panel... IS SO LYDIA!!

I've used nearly all of the housecarls and companions as tag alongs for my missions and explorations... but Lydia was quite unique... All the housecarls say "I'm sworn to carry your burdens"

LOL, but only Lydia says it with that special kind of attitude in her voice It's why I've gone back to her now on both playthroughs, she's special <3 <3 <3

I've sent Lydia to housesit my home in Whiterun after she killed me one too many times by stepping on a trigger plate. Spiked walls and swinging logs don't feel good.

I've only had her trigger one trap on me the entire time I've played with her. In my case, she's really good at not getting me killed.

I love Lydia <3 She's the best housecarl by far. BUT what I had to see... is that she's become the 'Adoring fan' of Skyrim :*( So many people mess around with Lydia and mostly only Lydia in youtube videos. Launching her off cliffs with the shouting power, purposly making her step on traps to get launched off sides or crunched/squished... the list goes on and on.

Oh, and the bug where you can't marry her :*(

Lydia's saved my neck so many times I'd feel terrible if I did anything to her. x.x;; That and I've already gotten her to a point where she told me she'd kill me if I didn't stop burning her (it was accidental...dumb scrolls...), so I've been doing what I can to keep her safe. ; I think people just like messing with her because she's supposed to be the most loyal in game. -.o

I'm female, so I wouldn't have married her anyway.
