I was actually thinking of an old comic character named PITT when I was drawing his mouth - the teeth behind them are plenty sharp, have no fear.

Mmmm... decisions, decisions! That's the old "fire and ice" question. Can't say that I would prefer either way of leaving this mortal realm, but, I would say, as an adventurer, I would try and stay as far away from this guy as possible! Arrows and magic, all the way.
I would guess he uses the tentacles somewhat like Scorpion in Mortal Combat.

Yeah, once someone's bound up, he can do all kinds of nasty things to them.

Very cool, but I have 1 suggestion: removed the lips altogether and give him a shark-like maw.

Yeah, I was thinking about the character PITT (old comic character) when I drew the mouth.

It reminds me a bit of Darksied, it just looks too humanoid and subdued in the mouth, given what this guy is.

He's one of the smarter ones. He doesn't just charge mindlessly at anything that moves, though he has the equipment to do so.
