Description I liked the Time Lord-killing gun idea. It would've been like Captain Scarlet or something!

I won't lie. The way they rejuvenated the Doctor in "Last of the Time Lords" sounded like something straight out of Care Bears.

This is so true. We must figure out that love is a good palliatif for botox. I'm gonna work on this ... I love RTD, but his superman/christ Doctor was just ... cheezy, sometimes.

Hey, did you see "Pokemon: The First Movie"? So, basically what happens is that the protagonist, Ash, gets turned to stone. And when everything looks lost, the pokemon start crying, and Ash is brought back to life through the Pokemon's sudden love for him.

Does that sound familiar?

Seriously, Russell wrote a really good first 35-40 minutes, and then just didn't seem to know how to end it. So he made the Doctor Tinkerbell. I do believe in Timelords! I do! I do!

This so sums up my feelings on that episode. (It was the one that made me go 'Yeah, unless someone informs me there has been a REALLY GOOD episode, I give up now.')

The most annoying part is that the buildup to it could've actually led to a really good conclusion, and then it just didn't

Instead, 'clap if you believe in timelords'.

I like the tears in Rusty's eyes, it expresses RTD's extreme enthuasium that he puts in Doctor Who

Haha, thanks. His sheer enthusiasm for the show is the one thing I can't fault him on.

Well me personally I think what RTD did was fantastic stuff, he brought DW to new dimensions its never been before.
Sure his stuff wasnt perfect, but its certainly better then most of the crap that came out of DW in the late 80's before it got canceled.
Cartmel Masterplan anybody?

I've enjoyed the recent series a lot too, of course, otherwise I wouldn't be making comics about it. I do admire RTD for some of his ideas, his subtler emotional writing and the fact that he was able to build a massive and now seemingly unstoppable franchise out of a show that five years ago was sneered at as irredeemably cheesy nerd rubbish. On the other hand, some of the things he wrote and plotted were glaringly terrible, the example in this comic being one of them.

I suppose he's something of a George Lucas figure. Sometimes you want to shake his hand and sometimes you want to slap him. Making a comic out of the things he did right wouldn't be very funny, though.

agreed. I thought some of his ideas were terrible *cough cassandra cough*

But some of his ideas were really good like how expressed how there wasn't such thing as someone being unimportant.
