Description Finally got around to playing Mirror's Edge. One of many games on the long list of "things I need to play before the much anticipated sequels come out so I can decide if I care". And this is a close approximation of how Faith generally made it through each level with me at the helm I died. Many, many times. It was kinda frustrating. I really liked the game, the aesthetics were awesome. And I was a big fan of the 'immediacy' the first person perspective gives the parkouring. But the biggest gripe I had is with the lack of stickyness of ledge grabbing. The amount of times I fell off the buildings because I was a pixel too far from a ledge was pretty excruciating. But then, maybe I'm just getting a soft in my old age.

Anyways, sorry Faith. I'll do my best to not injury you quite so horrifically and frequently in Catalyst.

Next up, New Vegas!

Ha! Accurate as to how I played her

Initially thought the lineart was from a collab as most of it is curvier than usual

Hilarious! Sadly, too much like the way I get through most levels, too. Reminds me of playing various other games where one is supposed to "level up" their troops so that they'll be able to take on the more difficult enemies the next time...but mine are barely making it through alive, forget about stronger...!!!

My biggest problem was how easily you can miss a ledge grab. Considering the difficulty involved with platforming in the first person, it seemed a little too unforgiving to me.

I always thought that game was under-rated. One of my personal favorites...

It could have done without the combat. Or more options to avoid the conflict if you wanted to. But aside from that and the control stuff I mentioned, it was a pretty great game.

One of those games that stands out in the sheer amount of visceral damage the player character sustains in a normal playthrough. Curiously much easier with a controller than with keyboard and mouse.

She's pretty much Aeon Flux with the amount of death involved
