Good grief I am so obsessed with this girl.....I think I am driving Matthew crazy playing the soundtrack over and over and over while I work....Elphie and Chistery towards the end of the book. As an aside I added the feathers to her hat, because in my mind Fiyero wore those feathers in his hair, and well..thats all that she has left of him... Gosh I should really draw that boy someday...
I kinda like the way this came out, and I think I might like to try more in this style...but I can't make any promises LOL!

This is fabulous. I'm really loving her pose and Chistery's tail wrapping around her. I also like the idea of having those feathers from Fiyero.

Granted, I am obviously a little late to the party, but whatever.
I have seen the Musical in London about a month ago, and have ever since spent most of my day going "TossToss!" (helps when you actually have blonde curls) and randomly hollering "Nobody mourns the wiiickeeeeeeeeeeeed!" in people's ears.
I love Elphaba, so much! The musical version of her is just like Hermione.. only green.
And the book is so dark and twisted, yet so intriguing! Gargh, love Elphaba. She has joined the Coffeeshop in my brain where all my female heroes hang out, and is currently involved in a passionate activism discussion with Hermione, whilst Scully and Laura Holt swap investigation stories and Jordan Sullivan sits in a corner looking bored. Good times.

I saw Wicked on Broadway the other week, so now I finally understand the drawings! The play was AWESOME and this picture is too. That girl definitely has attitude!

*drools* Elphie is one of my favourite book characters EVER! I cried when I read the book. I CRIED! It's so unfair! And I love how she kind of looks like she's trying to hide how really hurt she is by looking cold and stone-faced. And Chistery is so adorable! AAH! I want to eat him!
