Requested by ECblossomGal . This is the OC Tamaris comforting a mutant K.O. from their AU. I'm too lazy to check right now but I'm sure this is all valid information lol...
I wanna start by saying your colour palletes would be murder for an animator xD but it was pretty cool to draw as one picture and stuff. The tone of this ended up being rather sad. I usually brighten up the photo of my art (by toggling brightness/contrast and such), but I kept this one rather dim because it suits the tone and looks aesthetic to me. Before you get depressed let me tell you why I drew it the way I did: K.O. would probably have some serious emotional backlash after getting mutated. He might feel like a monster for a moment. But then Tamaris lays a hand on his shoulder and he glances away from his reflection to look at her. She understands. She became a mutant when she was around his age, too.

Hello! Yes, tis I, the original creator of this lovely AU! To answer your questions, no it is actually made based on an idea about what it would be like if KO (and yes TKO to an extent) got the exact mutant affliction to what Tamaris has. Though I gotta admit, I do see some physical similarities, with the spiky parts in some places and all that. It's in no way a hybrid of both shows, but if one were to draw comparisons concept and story wise, then uhhh... yeah, sorta.

My mutant babies look just especially SPECTACULAR in you style! Everything about this is gold! From the reflection KO is crying in front of to Tamaris' sympathetic expression (no lie you had her look like how she would in the show WOwwW)! Even the description of the scene, you put that down precisely to a t! I can say with confidence its a known fact in the au where tend to get sentimental regarding his condition, sometimes where he views himself indeed as a monster for it, from occasional bouts where he slips into savage, animal-like behavioral mannerisms.
Anyway, I've gushed about this long enough, all I wanna let you know is, you delivered!
