Nice shot, I agree with Liorness.
As regards to the title...just work on the other two photos, then it will come on its own.
Hope you're ok (I'm finishing my thesis :S )

It's actually a 20,000 word document.
It's about Maltese families who host English language students in summer. The maltese are not very comfortable about having foreigners at home, yet foreign students also bring money with them... So the thesis is about how host-families solve this problem by looking at the relationships between the families, the students being hosted and the school that brings students to the island.
Yeah, 3 months. All students have to do 3 months of p.observation in our course. Actually mine was pretty straight-forward: I worked with one of the schools for 2 and a half months. I earned enough money to pay 2weeks of p.observation with a family. A friend of mine spent 3 months working in a museum, another 3 months working in a hospital for the mentally disabled.
We're a small group, but they work us really hard here. TT_TT
I'll send you a copy...if i do well :S
What about you? Do you have to write a thesis/dissertation/long-essay at the end of your course? What branch of anthropology interests you most? Kinship? Economic? Medical?
Sorry, I saw 1-3 as a title, and I thought it was the first picture out of a set of three. My mistake XD

You have to actually go abroad to do fieldwork? You're in your second or first year of your course?
Visual anthropology's very nice I once did a small course on that during which we had to make a small anthropological film. It was something different and awesome. And yes, it's always a very good idea to merge anthropology with what you like most. I try to merge it with geography, for example, so I focus on environmentalism, space, rural-urban stuff, you know.
Well, it is a dream depending on what you plan to do afterward. I think anthropology is opening up to new methods of expression and research. In malta, that would not only be a dream, but also foolish. My lecturer in visual anthropology is a film buff, for example. He went on to do his masters in Visual Anthropology at Manchester. But he can't find any jobs now, so he only teaches 2 weeks a semester and has to find other jobs in the meantime. Harsh life.
As for when I finish this year: Plainly, I don't know. It's hard to find work with an anthropology degree here - most people would have never even heard of it, let alone know what we do (and tbh, i'm not sure anthropologists know what they're doing either). Plans are 1) I find some work, any work and rest a bit (cos 4 years drain you, you know) or 2) go on masters in Durham.
Yeah, it's in English. I'll send it to you if I do well. Then you'll see how many problems you swiss people create here Just kidding.
Cheers
Brian
