Personality: Grendel is reserved until he is familiar with a person, a traditional Virgo in the sense of keeping a calm exterior while inside is everything. He becomes agitated fairly easily, and is cautious but not untrusting of others. Once he has a feel for someone however, he becomes very warm and open. He hates being put in the spotlight and often lashes out passive-agressively at people who try to single him out, but at the same time really can't stand overly boastful people.

Likes: Alcohol, puzzles, routine, sleeping, warmth, busy places, sweet foods

Dislikes: Sudden physical attacks, really bright rooms, boring people/ books

Biography: Grendel was born and raised in Eirwyn city in a family of merchants, the eldest of three children. While his two younger sisters immediately showed skill at their parents' trade, Grendel was never really had a knack at selling and trading. He began focusing on physical activity at a young age, and soon found his niche. He began working for a well known local fisherman at the age of 12, and lead a happy, entirely average life until just after his 18th birthday. At this time, just as all teenaged boys do, he began to feel like he was going nowhere, and needed to find something more interesting to do.
His boss, noticing his sudden restlessness, suggested that Grendel start doing some under the table work- the underground circuit of Delphinus was certainly an exciting place, after all. He started taking jobs that where often less than legal, anything from playing bodyguard to foreign researchers in the wilderness to defacing the residences of the unfortunate ex-lovers of vengeful Zodiacs. Although he knew the risk of such actions and often felt guilt for what he did, how many teenaged boys would give up such an exciting lifestyle? It was only a little bit over a year after his secondary line of work began that everything went wrong.
One evening he accepted a job that was riskier than anything he had ever done before- Stealing important secrets from the home of one of Delphinus’ most powerful business owners, Lucius Ohare. Everything seemed to be going well until he was caught by the very man he was meant to be robbing. Deciding that it would be a fitting punishment, Ohare ordered his bodyguard to rip Grendel's wings right out of his back. Although he managed to escape, he left behind his right wing and gained a fracture in his left one. Fearing that Ohare would discover his identity and use his influence to do harm to his family, Grendel left town with little more than a week spent recovering.
He spent over two months just wandering, and has only recently ended up in Alria. Here Grendel has done whatever jobs he can, although he tries to keep them within the limits of the law and of his still healing body whenever possible. When he isn't taking jobs, he can usually be found in taverns, most recently the Hanged Scorpion, learning what he can about the inner working of the capital city and trying to put the past behind him.
