Trent was mentally and physically abused as a child by his single, sap-addicted mother. She'd beat him for every reason under the sun, never teaching him to read or write, to even to walk, and could only teach himself with time and a lot of agony. After sneaking out of his home one night, he ran as far as he could handle, ending up in Wynsiph. He was found by a distraught Alma, who was shocked at the state of him, and - after a lot of kicking and screaming - took him to the Nook.
Trent hated every adult he laid eyes on, and most wynglings too, especially loud ones. He'd growl and bare his teeth at nearly anyone, and only really trusted Alma, but even then barks at her if she get's within a meter of him. His traumatic childhood left him unable to speak very well, and many believe he is mute, and only responds with a very quiet "yes" or "no".

○ Shy | Quiet: Due to a painful upbringing, Trent refuses to make much contact with his peers as he struggles to trust them. Additionally, after a tough encounter with Tate, he has learned to avoid most young wynglings as well as adults, and that his opinions don't have any effect on the world.
