"Hello?"
Orchid called out to the seemingly empty house. She had just returned from her day out with Gabu, and it was already late at night. The young, brown wyngling was sleeping around her daughter, Mocha's house, so she was left to walk home alone.
The fire was already lit, giving the living room a warm glow. She sat down beside the sparking embers to warm her fur up.

"Cynder? I'm home!"
...the was no answer...

At this time of the evening, Cynder was usually snuggled in her beanbag sketching, or in the kitchen making brownies. But the beanbag was empty, and there was no warm smell of melted chocolate wafting from the kitchen.

Her thoughts were interrupted by an irritated growl.
"Aargh!"

The faint sound seemed to come from her bedroom.
"...sis?" Orchid whispered nervously, taking a few steps closer to the bedroom door. More sounds came from the room opposite.

"Aaah! Push harder!"

...Cynder?

"I-It's stuck! It won't go in further!"

...D-Dash!?

Orchid knelt down, pressing her ears to the door, her eyes filling with tears as she listened in on what was being said in the bedroom.

"Dash! Keep going! It's nearly their! Aaagh!" she heard Cynder growl in a strained voice.

"Why won't it fit!?" Dash's voice whimpered through the door.

Orchid felt her heart sink in her chest, as her lavender eyes filled with hot, salty tears that soon began to flood down her face.

...w-were they... having an... affair?
