I haven't paint eyes for a while, so I decided to give it another try

Done on a 12x16 Arches watercolor paper, with watercolor, white paint and black pen.

I have no idea. LOL. But I guess it reminded me of both because there's lots of crying in the anime, and lots of crying watching it, so....
