I am still very happy about this piece along with the other one you did for me! And of course my husband loves this one in particular, lol. He was on a huge Dragon Age and Skyrim kick at the time and I always tease him when he gets all excited about facing a dragon and acting like he is a total bad ass π

Beautiful lighting coming from that lightning. Sets the whole piece to a certain center. And seems also way more powerful than the sword that stays in the dark.Β

This is GORGEOUS!!! I don't know what you did differently with the lighting in this, but it's something you
should keep doing because this looks great! Bright, colourful and the contrast just pops! Great colour and
lighting on the dragon and the magical effects. It will be very interesting to see the comparison between
the two, new lighting rig vs old lighting rig.
My money is on the dragon though... a big fiery brute like that, with a human he could swallow in one bite?
Pffft! The mage has no chance! Maybe if he had a magical sword, the odds might be a little more in his
favour but the sword looks like common steel. Dude. You're so dead!

If you're still on the fence about the lighting technique, you should do a few more images
doing the lighting that way until you can decide. Based on this image, I think the lighting is
really well done and needs further investigation.
Pfft! Being on the dragon's belly means nothing - he is just in a convenient biting position! lol
Afterwards, the dragon can use the sword for a toothpick!
You're really welcome! You've done a really amazing job with this one! The time you spent
away from art certainly hasn't dulled your skills!

You're welcome! I really hope to see more overpainting in your next images,
though you will need to be careful with so much painting that you remember to take
lots of breaks so you don't hurt your wrists. I know it's hard to remember to take breaks
when you're in the zone!

This is creepily perfect for my magmatail that I created, it's almost the exact same

Magmatail? That's a cool name! Fire lizard/dragon things are always great. Thank you!

Actually, we had a school project where we had to create a dragon eye, I made one and called the species "magmatail" I posted it on my account, check it!

Well actually my phone decreases the pixels as it uploads so it's always terrible quality in comparison to the original. I'm trying to find better ways to do that, we have a scanner so I hope that will help it. I'm working on a pretty big art project right now and it's gonna be uploaded as soon as I find a better way to upload

Ouch, that sucks about your phone. That's really weird that it does that. I guess you checked all your camera settings in your phone? I hope you get it figured out!

I did, actually. It wasn't the camera, it was the fact that I was uploading them from my phone. I later tried it with my laptop and "cobra's friend" came out like it was supposed to π

Awesome work! Love the glowing effects of fire on the dragon, makes him really "bad ass".
