This is so stunning! I shared it on Facebook because one of my friends from high school so many years ago is on there and works in the valley. Even if someone doesn't know Yosemite, this will blow them away. Such a capture.

Thank you!! I was there a few weeks back and there was a lot of smoke in the valley, they had a lightening caused fire that started on 7/31, even with the smoke, Yosemite is amazing!!

This shot is proof that having the patience to let the weather do its own thing really pays off. I think a lot of people would have sickened of the rain and left for "sunnier pastures" and missed out on a great opportunity.
As for critiques...my first impression was that the balance between light and dark was off, but then I realized that the dawn light created a unique "suspension" between light and dark, night and day (please excuse with the cheesiness). In short, this is definitely a picture worth reflecting over.

I was here for about 2 hours waiting for breaks in the rain, running back and forth to the car.. there were times the fog was so thick you couldn't see a thing... I can't wait to get back there and see what autumn has in store!!
